To evaluate reaction of different genotypes of sugar beet to powdery mildew disease, an experiment was conducted at Mahidasht Agricultural Station in Kermanshah, TI1e experiment conducted in RCS design with 12 treatments and four replications. The severity index of powdery mildew disease was determined in each genotype and it's effect on root yield and some qualitative traits was investigated. Severity index and - rate of n-amino-N in genotypes of7233 group was higher than 1~442 group. In some genotypes, increase of severity index reduced root yield, juice purity and white sugar content. When tl1e disease was controlled i11 8001 genotype with fungicide. both mot yield and while sugar content increased about 4 tons and half a ton per hectare. rcspecuvcty, The effect of powdery mildew disease 011 the percentage of sugar was not significant.
